Build YOUR New Home - Start Now? Why Not?

When you choose to build your new home you have many options, and your choices are going to impact the direction building your new home takes. You will need to know and be aware of your financing options, architectural guidelines, time lines, inspection schedules, utilities, insurance and permit requirements, not to mention costs and taxes.

If you choose a new home builder, this then becomes a joint effort and communication is vital.

Building your new home can be an exhilarating New Home adventure! It will encompass your creativity and your patience. It will often be the BIGGEST and BEST investment of your life and, - it will be ultimately rewarding and satisfying .... if you plan it right.

Choosing a new home builder or to Build Your New Home "yourself" with the help of an experienced Designer/Builder is a big part of the new home construction process.

Having come from a "new home construction" based family in Canada I have built several homes myself (actually swinging a hammer) and as a family we have found it personally rewarding. In our business over the years we have helped several hundred families in the course of our work to select, design and build their own dream homes.

Nothing can replace the satisfaction of an ecstatic new home owner pleased to show off their creation, the final result of their hard won work.

Note that whether or not you choose to have a new home builder do the grunt work for you, in my books, you have also done a considerable amount work, spent time and money, and YOU are the driving force behind building your new home.

To this end, we endeavor to assist you the new home "planner" in becoming a new home "owner" and hopefully we will be able to assist you in avoiding problems that don't need to happen in building your dream home - helping you save time and save money. Some topics we cover are:

- Lot or acreage?
